"Victory Belongs To Jesus"
Todd Dulaney
As a leader, communication is vital. A team is only as strong as its ability to effectively communicate with the other leaders on the team.
Since everyone is a leader (I define leadership as someone who has a sphere of influence, if you know ANYONE, then that's you), it is mandatory that we communicate with everyone we lead. As a worship leader, it's important to communicate vision at least once in the beginning of the year (laying out what the goals and objectives of the worship team are), and then following that up periodically, re-emphasizing each point you made before.
If you are doing a special service, be sure to communicate the heart and vision for that special service.
Make sure everyone understands that correct and proper communication involves letting the worship leader know well in advance if a team member will be gone. If running late, a phone call or text should be sent ASAP.
Remember that the effectiveness of your personal communication down stream will set a precedence on how good communication will be upstream.
What are some effective ways you communicate with your team? I would love to hear your comments!
