During the month of DECEMBER 2020, the Top 10 most downloaded chord charts from WorshipReady.com were (previous month rankings in parenthesis - "NL" means it was not in the top 10 list in the previous period):
As is the case every year at Christmas time, the usual popular chord charts take a back seat to Christmas music. The interesting point, Kari Jobe's "O Holy Night" was the the #1 December song for 4 years in a row until 2019 when Lincoln Brewster's "Silent Night" took over that top spot. This year, Jobe returns to the top. The only non-Christmas song that was popular enough to make it into the list including Sinach's "Way Maker", which was #1 the last two months and has been regularly for a while now.
The #1 song in December 2019 here at WorshipReady was "Silent Night" by Lincoln Brewster. It still made this year's top 10!
Now, looking at a longer span of time really gives a better picture of the popularity of a song in this type of view. So, here is another top 10 list, but for the 3-month span of 2020 4th Quarter (Oct - Dec). The "(NL)" in this case states that a song was not on the top 10 list for 3rd Quarter 2020:
Sinach's "Way Maker" has been very popular for well over a year now and maintains the quarterly #1 spot! Of course, some Christmas songs took over half of the quarter's top songs.
The #1 song in 4th Quarter 2019 here at WorshipReady was Sinach's "Way Maker", which is still #1 this year!
